Federation Charity Fund
Mission Statement
Merseyside Police Federation is committed to support local communities through the provision and application of a charity and welfare fund. It is the aim of the Fund Committee to support community activity and to relieve hardship across Merseyside Police Force area through the provision of charitable donation.
Object of the Fund:
1. To advance in life and help young people through:
a) The provision of recreational and leisure time activities provided in
the interest of social welfare, designed to improve their conditions
of life;
b) Providing support and activities which develop their skills,
capacities and capabilities to enable them to participate in society as
mature and responsible adults
2. To relieve poverty and sickness amongst persons who are victims or
witnesses of crime and persons affected by crime within Merseyside
including families and friends of such persons in need.
Fund Committee

Fund Rules
- Applications are welcomed and accepted from all Merseyside police staff in respect of community activity and victims of crime in their areas.
- All applications are considered at regular meetings of the Trust Committee. This may result in an award for all or part of the sum applied for. An application may be turned down if it does not meet the qualifying criteria.
- Maximum payment against applications will usually be £250.
- Maximum payments from fund will not usually be more than £1000 in any one-calendar month.
- A generic summary of recipients will be taken to each JNCC and published in each Insight.
Fund Committee
- Applicants must be able to demonstrate that an award would provide appropriate support to victims of crime or the community.
- Applications must be made by/via a member of Merseyside Police Staff.
