Fairness, Equality and Diversity
Merseyside Police Federation is fully committed to the elimination of all forms of unfair discrimination. It is our position that there is no place in the Police Service for people who hold racist, homophobic, sexist or other discriminatory views. We firmly believe that all our members must treat work colleagues and members of the communities they serve fairly and appropriately and with dignity and respect.
We aim to work with Merseyside Police, together with its support networks, partners and advisors to raise awareness of all aspects of diversity. We aim to provide a welcoming environment where everyone feels valued and each individual is recruited, developed, promoted and trained, to ensure they can reach their maximum potential free from any discrimination.
We are fully committed to achieving this through training and the creation of a learning organisation . There are no winners in Employment Tribunals and we fully endorse and are committed to the principles of the “learning the lessons” document in relation to grievances and employment tribunals.
